William Larkin

I have been an X36 Rigger Apprentice for 10 months. I started my career at Newport News Shipbuilding on Apr 1, 2009, but then we were Northrup Grumman Shipbuilding I got my start as a Shipwright in X11 and few months later I was offered a chance to transfer to the foundry where I worked as a A572 Machine Hand. Shaping Casting, Operating Equipment, and help pour metal, about Three years later I transferred into X36 where I was a crane rigger and operator. I Have worked in many areas in the yard from pier 2 to the JMAF complex I have continued to hone my craft in X36 to the point I reached Crane Rigger specialist before becoming an Apprentice in 2022. When I am not at work, which is rare, I am at the beach with my amazing wife Audrey who is also an apprentice in X36 and our four sons. I also enjoy taking my youngest out on the motorcycle.
